Day 43: My Way

Publish date: May 29, 2019

It can be difficult to make decisions as a group of five. Yesterday, before being completely sucked in by the vortex, we had trouble admitting that we didnt want to hike anymore. MJ dubbed it “my day” so I got to make all of the decisions. I decided to stay. Out here, “hike your own hike” is a common mantra. But for the next few days, we’re going to hike each other’s hikes. Today was MJ’s day. We left town at noon, hiked six miles, swam in a river for a few hours, hiked five more, then got to camp and played catch. Tomorrow is Rob’s day. He’s making us get up early.
